Hey look, breakfast!
Recipe:
I personally used Pillsbury crescents out of that tube and formed them into round rolls, but if you want to make your own, more power to you. Here’s a recipe for them: http://allrecipes.com/recipe/homemade-crescent-rolls/
2 Eggs
a teaspoon of salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, garlic powder
a tablespoon of Italian Dressing. (kind of like my Eggs Marshall recipe: http://sheezyart.com/art/view/2453246)
That’s pretty much it. With a fork, whisk the eggs, spices, and dressing together until it’s light and airy, the scramble the mixture in a hot pan that has some melted butter (opt.) until they’re cooked. For some added neatness, cook the eggs until they form a very light crust and airy inside, that’s a neat thing. c:
Serve hot on a crescent roll, with some cheese (i used Provolone)
Yield: about three or four.
No picture for this one :’c
Hey gang! I know I said I’d do a seafood post, but I forgot about my haddock, and it needs to thaw, so I’ll do something with it tomorrow, hopefully.
Anyway, here’s a simple vegetarian meal/snack idea!
Get some white rice, about 2 cups. If you’ve got a rice steamer at home, go ahead and cook it until its done. Then add some water and cook it some more, it will get mushy, I know, but trust me, it’s neat to eat. Once the rice is good to go, mix in some salsa (jarred works best, but the fresh is good too) and Parmesan Cheese (grated).
next on a soft flour tortilla, that you’ve heated in the microwave (per instructions) spread a small amount of sour cream, then the rice mixture, and top it off with some cheddar cheese.
boom done.
The brilliant thing about this recipe is that it is so versatile, that you can change it up in a million different ways.
If you make this, tell me what you did to change it, and make it better!
?
I have not cooked in a while.
Sweet baby jesus, is that BUFFALO CHICKEN DIP?
Yes it is. c:
Here’s how you go about making it.
WHAT YOU NEED
- 8oz. package of cream cheese (2)
- about 1lb boneless/skinless chicken breast. (or more if you want
- Hot sauce. Whatever’s on hand works. avoid Tabasco Sauce though, it’s good for some things, but not this. Texas Pete, Louisiana Crystal, or even generic, store-brand hot sauce works wonders. (The amount of this varies, depending on how much heat you want :v )
- Shredded Mozzarella (about 4 cups)
- Salt and pepper
- Garlic powder
- red pepper flakes (optional, for more heat)
WHAT YOU DO
- Preheat your oven to about 350-400°F (176-204°C)
- Make sure your cream cheese is really soft. (if your microwave has a “soften” feature like mine, use the fuck out of it.)
- Cook the chicken breast (you can season the chicken with the salt and pepper, on both sides). Once it’s fully cooked, Shred it with a fork.
- Add the chicken to the soft cream cheese and mix it well. Then add 2 cups of shredded cheese and mix that in well. Then add the hot sauce and garlic powder. and mix.
- put the mixture into a baking dish (like a pie dish), top it with the rest of your cheese [opt: add some red pepper flakes on top], and pop that into your oven for about 5 minutes, so it’s all hot.
- during the last minute or two, turn the broiler on (if you have one) and let that loose on your dish, so the cheese on top gets nice and bubbly with golden crusts
and that’s it!
Enjoy with tortilla chips. c:
Orange-spice Biscuit with a home-made orange syrup. mm-mmmm.
Since I’ve been in a Biscuity mood lately, I’ve made a few treats for you all to try when you have Bisquick (or equivalent/generic label) laying around.
Garlic Cheese Biscuits- by adding about 1 1/2 tablespoons of garlic power to the mix and about 1/2 c of grated cheese you get this amazing stuff. I also topped the biscuits with cheese before they finished so the cheese could melt in the final time of cooking.
Apple-cinnamon biscuits: I added about three tablespoons of powdered sugar and about two teaspoons of cinnamon to the mix. I also chopped up a fresh green apple and mixed that in. I topped them with a mixture of cinnamon granulated sugar and water.
Both kinds of biscuit are really really great snacks to accompany or follow dinner.
Homemade Biscuits and sausage gravy.
have I mentioned how much I enjoy cooking?
Who says boxed cake can’t look classy? Who, I ask you?
